Nature is “red in enamel and claw,” as Alfred, Lord Tennyson had written within the poem “In Memoriam A.H.H.” For the reason that line that is now-famous Tennyson had been considering, pre-Darwin, the obvious callousness of nature. Nature is certainly not cruel; its just indifferent, and these actions reveal a neglect for any other residing things, in the place of malice.
Humans alone are designed for cruelty, and coercion that is sexual rape are immoral and unlawful functions. Describing behavior that is nonhuman these terms trivializes rape.
